I have numerous photos where faces have been detected, but for some reason when I click on Tag People, many of the detected faces do not show up as available to be tagged. I know I can go into each photo manually and Click to Name the detected faces, but it would be a lot easier if all the detected faces where available when I click Tag People.
I see that there are many faces in to 'Tag Photos' section that still need to be tagged. Are you sure that the detected photos are not there? Note the arrows leading you to all the people waiting to be tagged.
If there are detected faces that are not there, please give me a link to that photo that the face is detected in so that I can investigate this further.
1. When I click on "tag people" It says "Congratulations, you've tagged all your photos successfully" , it shows the 8 that I tagged offline, and will not bring up any other of the 215 pictures I've already uploaded to the site.
2. It's not even doing any facial recognition between the 8 I managed to tag, adn the other 215 in the albums. Some are copies of the same picture so I know they are similar. They are good quality digital scans of photos.
I'm using both family tree builder software and the myheritage site with the premium plan.
This is frustrting. The only reson I added this subscription in addition to the onles I alredy have for ancestry.com was becasue of the facial recognition which I can't seem to get working.
I'd appreciate any help. I'd really like to use this feature, but without it, I might as well not use myheritage.com.
Where is the face recognition form? It is gone? All I see is Celeb Collage (which I must download, and do not want to do) Look-Alike Meter (Which is useless) and a whole bunch of other random useless stuff that I don't want. All I WANT is the Celeb look alike form, which has disappeared. Link please!
Here are some tips to help you get the best possible Face Recognition results:
1. Use a large, good quality photo. Good photos are typically larger than 100KB. But if your Internet connection is not very fast, avoid huge photos that are several megabytes large.
2. Photos from webcams and mobile phones are sometimes not of sufficient quality for Face Recognition. If no faces were found in the photo you uploaded, try using a better quality photo taken with a digital camera (or use a scanned printed photo).
3. The face or faces in your photo should be frontal, i.e., facing the camera. Faces appearing in profile will not be detected. The face or faces in your photo should also be straight. Faces at an angle skew the results and make Face Recognition less accurate.
4. The faces in your photo should be fairly large, so it is best to use a photo featuring one person or a few, rather than a group photo with 10-20 people in it, where each face is rather small. Note that's it's fine to have more than one face in the photo, Face Recognition will run on every face that was detected.

unknown persons and to determine whether they
like photos of known ancestors. Or
determine the rights to two photos

I don't want your bullshit malware on my computer! Tell me how to remove it completely, please! I realize you won't tell me, because this entire board is a bunch of bots talking to one another pretending to have real conversations, but I'm going to try anyway.
I too am totally fed up with the My Heritage toolbar that somehow got installed.
I am ready to completely give up on My Heritage, even though I have spent hours and hours putting in my family information.
I hate that when I go on the site, hundreds of clicks are heard with what I guess are all the tracking cookies. I cannot get rid of the toolbar, I can't X it out, I can't close it in the tray. This is horrible. I hate lthis.
I read the instructions below and hope that this will work. This IS A VERY BAD THING ON THIS SITE, and you should reconsider this aspect of your "service" . Nasty, nasty!
General uninstall:
To remove the toolbar from your computer, please go to
Start menu > Control Panel > Add remove programs,
and there you will see the option to remove the Family toolbar or Celebrity Toolbar,
whichever you had installed.
IE:Reset search
1. Do not open Internet Explorer. Make sure all browser Windows and other applications (including email) are closed.
2. Right-click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop
3. Choose 'Properties'
4. Click the 'Programs' tab
5. Click the 'Reset Web Settings' button
6. Click 'Apply'
7. Click 'OK'
